Jewellery Taster Sessions

Fancy getting creative this May? Well you have come to the right place. We have three jewellery taster sessions running this May. Each session gives you a unique insight into the world of jewellery making.

You can choose from:
Make an Oresome sterling Silver Pendant  - Saturday 18th May – 1.30-4pm
Make a Pair of Oresome Sterling Silver earrings - Saturday 18th May – 1.30-4pm
Make an Oresome Sterling Silver Ring – Sunday 19th May – 1-4pm

Nicola and I have expertly designed these courses to give you a flavour of jewellery making and give you an insight to some basic techniques and processes that you will use to design your final item. These sessions are suitable for complete beginners, so no need to worry if you have never done any jewellery making before.

We demonstrate how to create different patterns and textures on the surface of the metal so then you can use this to create your own completely bespoke piece of jewellery.

The course usually lasts around 3 hours, we ask that you arrive 5 -10 minutes before the session starts as we usually have teas, coffees and biscuits available to get everyone going. Then its everyone in the workshop for a health and safety induction before we get stuck in to the session. Once we have completed the demonstrations there is plenty of time for you to experiment with the different techniques and processes on copper and brass before you decide on your final design and we help you to create it in sterling silver.

Make sure you wear some closed toe shoes, as we will be working in a workshop environment, bring glasses for close work if you need them. We keep the class sizes small so you get the most out of your session with us. This does mean that places are limited however so book early to make sure that you secure your place on the course.
