Sarah and Tony

Sarah and Tony

I was delighted to work closely with Sarah and Tony in creating their dream engagement ring. As Tony proposed at the beach they were keen to use this as the starting point and inspiration for the final ring. Looking at the ebb and flow of the sea we included this within the pieces with a wave design flowing through the whole shank of the ring. Sarah selected two beautiful stones to reflect the different colours within the sea. This included an aquamarine and beryl.

“I was overwhelmed when Tony, my boyfriend of 19 years, proposed to me on the beach in September last year after 18 years together. He didn’t have a ring in his pocket, his proposal tool of choice was a heart shaped pebble, but it did the trick!”

“I knew immediately who I wanted to make my ring after seeing the gorgeous pieces they made on commission. I contacted Vicky and began the process of having my engagement ring designed and made with Oresome. We discussed which precious metal she should use, the kind of stones I wanted and my desire to incorporate a sense of the beach. Vicky was very receptive to my ideas and explained the different methods she could use to achieve the effect I was looking for. She put together a comprehensive design sheet from which I picked my favourite and we then tweaked that to achieve the final ring. Every step was so easy and I was able to visit Vicky at the workshop to choose the exact stones and try on a mock-up of the ring.”

“I then left things in her very capable hands and was told it would be ready shortly after Xmas. Imagine my surprise on Christmas morning when Tony produced a small box shaped present! What a perfect way to receive my stunning engagement ring! Thank you, Vicky for all your enthusiasm, vision and hard craftsmanship!”
